SDSWMA’s 35th Annual Conference/Trade Show
“Finding Solutions Together”
Mitchell, SD – Sept 10-12, 2025

The conference planning committee is requesting anyone interested in speaking at the upcoming 2025 conference submit their speaker brief now!

All speaker briefs must be received by May 14, 2025 to be considered.

Each brief must include:

1. 1. title of talk,
   2. one paragraph overview of information to be presented,
   3. speaker name and job title,
   4. mailing address,
   5. cell phone number, and
   6. email.

   • Difficult to manage waste streams-all Li batteries, vape pens, cannabis, mattresses, pressurized cylinders, sharps, HHW, etc.
   • Recycling market representatives
   • Environmental monitoring and landfill gas
   • Garbage hauler safety
   • Blind spot training, walk arounds
   • Landfill and MRF safety
   • PPE overview
   • Public education and outreach
   • Waste stream evaluations/audits
   • Load inspections
   • SD regulatory update
   • Route optimization
   • Food waste diversion
   • Hazardous waste collections
   • Blood borne pathogens and infection control
   • Motivational/inspirational/positive
   • RNG from waste water and landfills
